Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.

Swivel the tensioner pulley of poly-V belt tensioning device (5) downward and take off poly-V belt (4) at belt pulley (7) of the alternator (G2)

Installation: Check condition of poly-V belt (4); replace if necessary Observe routing diagram of poly-V belt (4).

Remove tensioning strap (9) on alternator (G2)

Only if fitted.

Installation: The tensioning strap (9) must lie firmly up against the electrical line (2). First put on all screw/bolts (8), then tighten one after another.

Remove electrical lines (2, 3) at alternator (G2)

Installation:
The electrical line (2) must be fastened firmly with cable tie to alternator (G2).
Damage can occur to the electrical line (2) otherwise.

Remove cable tie and disconnect electrical connection (1) on alternator (G2)

Only for engine 902.9, 926.9, engine 906.9 as of engine end no. 190708.

Installation: Also secure retaining clip on wiring harness electrical connection (1) with a cable tie.

Remove alternator (G2) at carrier (6) and remove at the side between the longitudinal frame member and charge air pipe

Check belt pulley (7) of alternator (G2) for damage and smooth operation,

replace belt pulley (7) if necessary.

For removal/installation of belt pulley (7), hold alternator shaft with socket wrench.
