Remove/install

Remove air filter housing.

Remove battery carrier.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) at starter (M1).

Remove cover above nut (2).

Unscrew nut (2) and remove electric line for circuit 30 from starter (M1).

 Nut, connection for terminal designation 30

Remove screw/bolts (3).

 Bolt, starter to crankcase/transmission

Remove starter (M1).



Check

8

Check pinion of starter (M1) for damage and wear.

If the starter (M1) is reused.

If wear or damage is detected:



Replace starter (M1).

Check ring gear on flywheel/drive plate for wear and damage.

 Rotate engine at center Bolt, crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation.

If wear or damage is detected:



Replace flywheel/drive plate.

Install in the reverse order.
