| Remove/install | ||
1 | Turn transmitter key in EIS [EZS] control unit to position "0" and remove | To prevent unintentional starting of the engine. | |
2 | Unclip air intake pipe (2) from air filter housing (3) and place to one side | ||
3 | Loosen hose clamp (4) | ||
4 | Lift/jack up vehicle | ||
5 | Unscrew bolts (5) and pull off charge air pipe (6) from compressor (7) | Fasten charge air pipe (6) to the underfloor. Close off the openings with a rag. | |
6 | Loosen poly-V belt (1) | ||
7 | Remove poly-V belt (1) | Installation: Put poly-V belt (1) in place according to the routing diagram. See | |

8 | Check belt pulley profile, guide pulleys and clamping device | Installation: Replace belt pulley profile, guide pulleys and clamping device in case of damage. | |
9 | Check poly-V belt (1) for wear and damage | Installation: Replace poly-V belt (1) if necessary. | |
10 | Install in the reverse order | ||

11 | Test run engine and check poly-V belts (1) for correct movement |
