 Danger

Risk of explosion due to escaping combustible gas or overheating of gas cylinders.Risk of injury caused by burns to skin and eyes. Risk of frostbite to body parts caused by escaping gas and by touching components near the valves when emptying gas cylinders. Risk of poisoning or suffocation caused by inhaling gas.

Remove any sources of ignition.
Protective clothing, safety gloves and safety glasses must always be worn.
Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated.
When working on vehicles at ambient temperatures over 60 °C, all gas cylinders must be removed.

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Disconnect the negative battery cable

 Loosen the screw of the negative cable on the stringer, avoid releasing on the battery terminals.

Open the engine compartment hood

 Verify body builder manual.

Disconnect the electric harnesses (2) and (3)

Close the locking valve on the gas reservoirs and open the purge valve to empty the gas piping (1)

Loosen the clamps (4 e 7) and the bolt (5)

Remove the gas outlet hose (6) and the air piping (1)

 Close connections with caps to prevent impurities.

 Record plug

Install

Mount the air piping (1)

 Be careful so that all piping components are totally clean.

Install screw (5) on the air piping (1)

 Fastening of air distribution manifold to intake manifold

Install the clamp (7) on the air piping (1)

 Check the clamp condition (7), and replace it if necessary.

Install clamp (4) on the air piping (1)

 Check the clamp condition (4), and replace it if necessary.

 Fastening of the clamps on the inlet and outlet flexible hoses

Install gas outlet hose (6) on the gas piping (1)

 Check the air outlet hose condition (6), and replace it if necessary.

 Remove the covers from the connections.

Close the purge valve and open the block valve on the reservoirs

Connect the electric harnesses (2) and (3)

Connect the negative battery cable

 Tighten negative cable on the stringer.



Check

Check the air filter condition

 Replace the filter element.

Check the tightness of the gas system



 Apply soap lye around the connections and check for bubble formation.
