Remove/install

Remove the catalytic converter.

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Unscrew the screws on the heat shield (2) and remove the heat shield (2).

 Bolt, heat shield to crankcase

Unscrew the screws (3) and place coolant feed line (4) to one side.

 Bolt, coolant feed pipe to crankcase

Remove screws (5, 6, 7).

 Bolt, oil return line to turbocharger/crankcase

Remove oil return line (8) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

 Installation: Install new sealing rings.

 Record plug

Install in the reverse order.

Check engine oil level and correct.



Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper leaktightness and leaktightness.

Install upper engine cover.
