B2/5 Hot film MAF sensor

M16/6 Throttle valve actuator

Removing/installing

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Remove air filter housing

Remove hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)

Detach hose (1) on air duct housing (2)

Unclip electrical feed line from bracket (arrow) on air duct housing (2)

Detach retaining clamp (3) for electric wiring harness on air duct housing (2)

Press notch (4a) downwards and swivel air duct housing (2) below away from throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Lift notch (4b) and remove air duct housing (2) from throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Checking

Check seals (2a)

Check seals (2a) for wear and damage; replace if necessary.

Install in reverse order

Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
