Remove/install

Remove engine cover (2).

Remove engine cover (3).

Unclip clamp (5) on air filter housing (1).

 Mounting wedge

Remove CDI control unit (N3/9) on air filter housing (1) and place to one side with electrical lines connected

Unclip electrical wiring harness (6) at the air filter housing (1).

 Mounting wedge

Unclip engine air intake duct (4) from the air filter housing (1) on both sides and remove.

Remove engine air intake duct from the air filter housing (1) downstream of the air filter.

Loosen screw (7).

 Bolt, elastomer bearing for air filter housing to charge air cooler

Lift air filter housing (1) and remove in upward direction

 Installation: Replace seal on air filter housing (1).

 Installation: Coat rubber mount with lubricant paste.

Check rubber mount on the air filter housing (1) for damage and correct seating.

If problems exist,



Replace rubber mount on air filter housing (1) or position correctly.

Install in the reverse order.
