Throttle valve actuator

Remove/install

Remove upper engine cover

Remove charge air cooler (1) and place with attached lines and hoses to one side

Disconnect electrical connection at throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Remove screws/bolts (3) on throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

 Installation: Tighten screw/bolts (3) in diagonally opposite sequence.

 Bolt, throttle valve actuator to charge air distributor

Remove throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

 Installation: Replace seals. Ensure correct seating of the seals.

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and clear if necessary


