Remove

Remove heat shield (4).

Unclip electrical connector (2) from bracket and disconnect.

Expose electrical wiring harness for lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter (1).

Remove lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter (1) and seal opening with suitable stop plug.

Install

Coat thread of lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter (1) with heat-resistant lubricating paste.

Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20

Tighten lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter (1).

Connect electrical connection (2).

Clip electrical connector (2) into bracket and fasten electrical wiring harness.

Read out and delete fault memory and initialize lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter (1).

When replacing the lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter (1).



Perform engine test run and check threaded connection of lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter (1) in terms of leak tightness.

Install heat shield (4).
