Remove/install

Remove engine cover

Remove air filter housing

Disconnect electrical connection on coolant pump switchover valve (Y133), detach at bracket () and lay down below

Remove temperature sensor upstream of ATL (B19/11)

 Installation: Coat thread of the temperature sensor upstream of turbocharger (B19/11) with heat-resistant lubricant.

 Exhaust temperature sensor in manifold

Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20

Detach vacuum hose (1) from coolant pump

Disconnect electrical connection (2) at temperature sensor upstream of turbocharger (B19/11)

Unlock plug coupling (3) at retaining tab and detach

Temperature sensor upstream of turbocharger (B19/11)

 Installation: Ensure that electrical line is routed correctly.

Install in the reverse order

Connect diagnostic system, read out fault memory and delete if necessary


