Remove left rail

When removing the fuel injectors (1) on left cylinder head.

Remove right rail

When removing the fuel injectors (1) on right cylinder head.

Pull exposed fuel injectors (1) out of cylinder head and seal injector shaft bores with stop plugs

 Installation: Fuel injectors (1) must be installed together with the rail.

Remove fuel injectors (1).

Check removed fuel injectors (1) for external damage

In the event of damage to the shafts or to the mounts of the sealing packages on the fuel injectors (1)



Install new fuel injector (1).

Replace sealing rings (2) and seals (4) on the fuel injectors (1) to be installed

Replace sealing rings (3) for the fuel injectors (1) to be installed

The fuel injectors (1) must be installed immediately after calibration of the sealing rings (3) since the sealing rings (3) can swell due to the influence of air humidity.
The sealing rings (3) will otherwise be damaged during assembly.
