	Remove
1	Remove nozzle holder combination		AR07.03-W-6831D
2	Remove cylinder head		AR01.30-W-5800C
3	Measure valve setback to cylinder head separating surface with dial indicator (11) and dial indicator holder (10)		AR05.30-W-4100-01D
		 Replace cylinder head if necessary.

4	Remove valve springs (4) and valve stem seals (5)		AR05.30-W-3510-02CA

5	Mark intake valves (8) and exhaust valves (9) and remove from the cylinder head
6	Remove sealing ring (6) in valve guide (7)		AR05.30-W-3510-05G
	Hooked wire for removing sealing ring from valve guide		WF58.50-W-0530-01A
		 Only for vehicles with code (MS4) BlueTec 4 or with code (MS5) BlueTec 5 up to engine end no. 111124.
7	Clean valve guides (7) using cylinder brush (13)	 Cylinder brush	*000589106800
	Check
8	Check inside diameter of valve guides (7) using drift (12)	Replace corresponding valve guide (7).

		 If the side of the drift (12) marked "+" can be inserted in valve guide (7): 

9	Check valve seat rings in cylinder head	 The valve seat ring must not have any surface damage and must not be burnt; replace cylinder head if necessary.
10	Check intake valves (8) and exhaust valves (9) for additional applicability	 The valve stems must have no surface damage. The grooves in valve locks (2) must not be worn and the chrome layer on valve stems must not be damaged. The valve seats must not be burnt. Replace intake valves (8) and exhaust valves (9) if necessary.
	Install
11	Insert intake valves (8) and exhaust valves (9) into cylinder head	 Oil valve stems with engine oil. If used intake valves (8) and exhaust valves (9) are reinstalled then note markings on them. Grinding of intake valves (8) and exhaust valves (9) with grinding paste is not permissible.
12	Install valve springs (4) and new valve stem seals (5)		AR05.30-W-3510-02CA
	Modified valve stem seal and valve guide	As of engine end no. 111125	BT05.30-W-0001-02G
		 Only install modified valve stem seals (5).
