Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Remove clutch

Install retaining lock

 Insert retaining lock in starter opening and engage in starter ring gear. Turn engine in direction of engine rotation if necessary.

Remove Screw/bolt/bolts (1a)


Do not use air-powered tools to remove and screw in the screw/bolts (1).
The thread in the crankshaft flange can be damaged otherwise.

 Installation: Replace screw/bolts (1a). Tighten screw/bolts (1a) evenly cross-wise.

Remove flywheel (1)

 Installation: The cylinder pin for the crankshaft determines the installation position of the flywheel (1).



Check

Check end cover (5) and radial shaft sealing ring (6) for leaktightness

If necessary, to do this:



Remove pulse ring (2).

Remove install crankshaft pulse ring

In the event of leaks:



Replace end cover (5) with radial shaft sealing ring (6).

Remove/install cover with radial shaft sealing ring

Install in the reverse order

 Belt pulley, flywheel, drive plate
