Remove

Remove clutch.

Install retaining lock (2).

 Retaining lock

If necessary,



Turn engine in direction of engine rotation.

Remove screw/bolts (3).

Remove flywheel (1).

Remove retaining lock (2).

 Retaining lock

Check

Check ring gear of flywheel (1) for damage.

Depending on the findings,



replace flywheel (1).

Check guide bearing (4) for wear and damage.

Depending on the findings,



replace flywheel (1).

Check starter drive pinion for damage.

Depending on the findings,



Replace starter.

Remove/install starter

Check cap with radial shaft sealing ring in terms of leak tightness.

Depending on the findings,



replace cap with radial shaft sealing ring.

Remove/install cover with radial shaft sealing ring

Install

Install flywheel (1).

 Screw in screws (3) loosely by hand.

Install retaining lock (2).

 Retaining lock

Tighten bolts (3).

 Bolt, flywheel to crankshaft

Remove retaining lock (2).

 Retaining lock

Install clutch.
