Remove crankcase lower section.

Install retaining lock for crankshaft.

Remove the screws (6) in reverse order from the tightening procedure.

Remove balance shafts (1) together with crankshaft bearing caps (2, 4, 5).

Mark installation position and installation location of the bearing shells (2a, 5a) and the bearing pedestal (4a).



Install

7.1

Wet previously marked bearing shells (2a, 5a) and bearing pedestal (4a) with engine oil and insert at respective installation location and installation position.

If markings are present.



Assign bearing shells (2a, 5a) and bearing pedestal (4a) to the respective installation location and installation position, wet with engine oil, and insert.

If no markings are present.

Move balance shafts (1) to basic position.
