Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove rocker arm assembly

Remove the spark plug (5)

Remove sleeve (1) from the cylinder head

Use claw wrench (4) to remove protective sleeve (2) from cylinder head



Protective sleeve modified

Note the direction of rotation (left-hand thread) when removing the protective sleeve (2).
The protective sleeve (2), the thread in the cylinder head or the claw wrench (4) can get damaged otherwise.

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and thread (arrow) to protective sleeve (2) and on cylinder head; recut thread (arrow) using a thread tap (M181.5) if necessary.

Remove O-rings (3) from cylinder head

 Installation: Insert new O-ring (3) with lubricant.
