Installation: Only tilt back cab after the leak test. | |||
2 | Remove soundproofing on frame at upper left | ||
3 | Detach vent line (2) on oil separator (1) | Check vent line (2) for deposits; clean or replace as necessary. | |
4 | Remove oil separator (1) at timing case | Collect escaping engine oil. | |
Installation: Replace seals (3, 4) on oil separator (1). | |||
Bolt, crankcase ventilation to timing case | |||
5 | Install in the reverse order | ||
Danger ! | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
6 | Start engine and perform an engine test run | ||
7 | Switch off engine (1) and check oil separator for leaktightness | Visual inspection. |
