AD80.35-S-2002-07A | Immobilizer indicator and warning lamp for radio frequency locking (RFL) system description |
Immobilizer monitoring and warning lamps
The monitoring and warning lamps are actuated by a switched plus signal (term. 15) in the radio frequency locking system control module. If a short circuit occurs, the output is deactivated and not released until the ignition is switched on again.
PWM version (engine 111)
After the ignition is switched on, the monitoring lamp illuminates for at least 2 seconds. The monitoring lamp is switched off:
2 sec. after ignition ON, if immobilizer is deactivated,
if the output has been short circuited,
or if the ignition is switched off.
CAN version (engine 601)
The monitoring lamp is switched on:
if the immobilizer has been activated when the ignition was switched on
or if no engine "activate" status is transmitted by the engine electronic system (DSV engine control module) 1 sec. after the ignition has been switched on.
The monitoring lamp is switched off:
by switching the ignition off
or after receipt of engine "activate" status.
Because the preglow and immobilizer monitoring lamps (preglow symbol) have been combined, the following actuation takes place during normal operation (immobilizer deactivated):
After term. 15 is switched on, the monitoring lamp illuminates and extinguishes at the end of the preglow time. Vehicle can be started.
The monitoring lamp is not actuated (term. 15 = ON) by the radio frequency locking system in vehicles with engine 601 (CAN version) until start authorization has been given. Engine status = "no authorization".
