Remove

Remove front bumper



Remove towing hook from front crossmember (10)

Remove bracket (3) for towing hook on front crossmember (10)

Detach outside temperature sensor (11) from front crossmember (10)

Detach bracket of steering oil reservoir (4) from front crossmember (10)

Remove cable ties (7, 14) for securing wiring harness to front crossmember (10)

Detach brackets (8, 9, 12, 13) securing wiring harness to front crossmember (10)

Remove all rivets from top side and underside of front crossmember (10)

 The rivets join the front crossmember (10) to the two side pieces (2, 5) and to the reinforcements on the longitudinal frame members.

Remove front crossmember (10)

 With regard to return shipment or scrapping of removed parts, please observe the information in your warranty systems.

Unscrew screws/bolts (1, 6) from side pieces (2, 5) of front crossmember (10) and remove side pieces (2, 5)

 The side pieces (2, 5) are reused.



Install

Paint front crossmember (10) in frame color

Attach side pieces (2, 5) to front crossmember (10)

 The insertion direction of the screws/bolts is from the outside to the inside.
Screw on the nuts, but do not tighten them yet.

Install front crossmember (10)

 The insertion direction of the screws/bolts is from the outside to the inside.
Screw on the nuts, but do not tighten them yet.

Screw in screws/bolts (1, 6) at side pieces (2, 5)

Tighten all screws/bolts at front crossmember (10) and side pieces (2, 5)

 When doing so, align the front crossmember (10) and side pieces (2, 5) so that they are free of tension.

Attach brackets (8, 9, 12, 13) securing wiring harness to front crossmember (10)

Attach new cable ties (7, 14) for securing wiring harness to front crossmember (10)

Attach bracket of steering oil reservoir (4) to front crossmember (10)

19

Attach outside temperature sensor (11) to front crossmember (10)

20

Install bracket (3) for towing hook on front crossmember (10)

Install towing hook on front crossmember (10)

22

Paint new screws/bolts and nuts at front crossmember (10) in frame color

23

Install bumper


