03-8022 Machining flywheel
Preceding work: Flywheel removed (03-8001). |
1 | Flywheel |
Note The two-mass flywheel of engine 602.940 must not be machined. |
Flywheel
Distance (a) in mm | 19.4 0.1
Distance (b) in mm | when new | 16.6
for repairs up to | 15.6 | ||
Maximum axial runout in mm | 0.05
Permissible peak-to-valley height | Rz 2.5 - Rz 6.3
Note Flywheels of mechanical transmissions which have scorch marks, scoring or cracks in the clutch surface should be machined by grinding or precision-turning. If the scores or cracks are deeper than the maximum permissible stock removal, the flywheel must be replaced. After machining, the clutch surface must not display any shrink holes or chatter marks. |
When machining the clutch surface (A), ensure that the distance (a) is always maintained. The mounting surface (B) for the clutch should therefore be machined in accordance with the stock removal at the clutch surface (A). The stock removal at the clutch surface (A) must not exceed 1 mm. |
