4 | Detach radiator grille (4) on retaining lugs (5) from inner section (8) | ||
5 | Remove radiator grille (4) on catch tabs (6) from bumper (1) and remove radiator grille (4) | ||
6 | Remove bolts (7) and remove left and right front fog lamp (E5/1, E5/2) | Vehicles with left, right front fog lamps (E5/1, E5/2) | |
7 | Drill out rivet (9) and remove both brackets (11) | ||
8 | Drill out rivets (10) | ||
9 | Remove clips (12) and remove inner section (8) from bumper (1) | Do not damage retaining lugs (12) on bumper (1). | |
Assembly: Replace clips (12). Counterhold bumper (1) when installing clips (12). | |||
10 | Loosen air grille (13) from bumper (1) and remove | ||
11 | Remove left, right and center impact absorber (14) | ||
12 | Loosen front fog lamp covers (15) from bumper (1) and remove | Vehicles with left, right front fog lamps (E5/1, E5/2) | |
13 | Remove Parktronic wiring harness (16) from inner section (8) | Vehicles with code 220 Parktronic System (PTS) | |
14 | Remove front bumper PTS sensor unit (A42) from bumper (1) | Vehicles with code 220 Parktronic System (PTS) | |
16 | Unhook springs (18) and remove cover (19) from bumper (1) | Vehicles with code 600 Headlamp cleaning system | |
17 | Assemble in the reverse order | ||
