Removal, installation

Danger!

Fuel vapors present an explosion hazard. Combustion gases are toxic when inhaled. Heater can cause severe burns during and after operation

Do not start up or operate stationary heaters or engines with heater boosters in closed rooms or in the vicinity of service stations. Allow heater to cool off after operation and wear protective gloves.

Fuel vapors present an explosion hazard. Fuel vapors are toxic when inhaled or absorbed. Contact with fuel can cause eye and skin injury.

Fire, open lights and smoking prohibited.
Fill and store fuel only in containers intended for this purpose and marked accordingly.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove heater

Remove connector (17)

Bayonet connection

Press rubber grommet (9) out of right end panel (4)

Remove right end panel (4)

Remove left end panel (3)

Unscrew bracket (6) and pull toward front

Disconnect electrical connectors from control module (7)

Unscrew fuel metering pump (8) from bracket (6) and remove bracket

Pull cap (20) off of combustion air hose (21)

Remove combustion air hose (21) from flange (18)

Installation: Observe installation position, angle of mounting clamp
(see figure).

Remove exhaust pipe (22) from flange (18)

Installation: Observe installation position, angle of mounting clamp
(see figure).

Remove fuel line (31) from flange (18)

Installation: Observe installation position, angle of mounting clamp
(see figure).

Unscrew heater mounting nuts (27) and remove washers (28)

Pull heater (1) forward until pipe clamp (11) is accessible

Remove pipe clamp (11)

Completely remove heater (1)

17

Remove flange gasket (19)

Installation: Check flange gasket for damage, replace if necessary.

18

Install in opposite order
