Risk of explosion from fuel igniting, risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel.

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Preconditions/notes regarding checking the delivery rate of the fuel metering pump

Remove, clean and reinstall fuel strainer in intake connection fitting of fuel metering pump

Detach fuel line (2) on pressure side of fuel metering pump (1)

Connect measuring hose (3) on the pressure side of the fuel metering pump and insert the end of the measuring hose in a measuring glass (4)

Connect multimeter (6) for monitoring battery voltage with the battery (5)

There must be a battery voltage of

11 to 13 V for measuring the delivery quantity.

Bleeding

Switch heater unit on

The fuel delivery begins after approx. 45 seconds. To bleed the fuel line, leave the heater in operation until the fuel leaves the measuring hose evenly and free of bubbles.

Switch off heater unit

Empty the measuring glass and insert the end of the measuring hose in the measuring glass again

Measuring

Switch heater unit on

The fuel delivery begins after approx. 1 minute. During the measurement keep the measuring glass at the height of the heater.

Wait for the end of the fuel delivery

The auxiliary heater control unit ends the fuel delivery after approx. 90 seconds.

Switch off heater unit

Determine the delivery quantity in the measuring glass and compare with the specified values.

If the specified values are not achieved:

Replace fuel metering pump.

Detach multimeter (6) from the battery (5)

Detach measuring hose (3) from the fuel metering pump and attach fuel line (2) again
