6.1 | Remove left rear seat backrest | When removing left luggage compartment lining (1) on vehicles without code (U57) Maxi Vario package | |
6.2 | Remove right rear seat backrest | When removing right luggage compartment lining (1) on vehicles without code (U57) Maxi Vario package | |
7 | Remove door sill molding from rear door. | ||
8 | Unscrew bolt (5) and remove belt end fitting (6) | | |
9 | Loosen edge guard (7) in area of luggage compartment lining (1) | Installation: Ensure that edge guard (7) is seated properly. | |
10 | Press luggage compartment lining (1) out of clips (8) with mounting wedge | | |
Installation: Ensure that luggage compartment lining (1) is seated correctly in clips (8). | |||
11 | Lift floor covering in area of rear door and pull out luggage compartment lining (1) below floor covering. | Installation: Lift floor covering over luggage compartment lining (1) with mounting wedge. | |
12.1 | Unclip rosette (9) | When removing left luggage compartment lining (1) | |
Removal: Rosette (9) is damaged during removal and must be replaced. | |||

14 | Set up load compartment floor and secure against folding down | ||
15 | Remove expansion clips (11) | Installation: Replace damaged expansion clips (11). | |
16 | Pull luggage compartment lining (1) toward inside and then downward in lower area. | Installation: Open stowage compartment cover (15), pull luggage compartment lining (1) downward in upper area and insert below C-pillar paneling (12). Ensure that luggage compartment lining (1) is seated correctly below C-pillar paneling (12) and below edge guard (13). | |
17.1 | Pull luggage compartment lining (1) toward front behind sidebag unit (14) | On vehicles with code (293) Left and right rear sidebag | |
Installation: Ensure that rear luggage compartment lining is seated correctly behind sidebag unit (14). | |||
18 | Remove luggage compartment lining (1) toward rear. | ||
19 | Install in the reverse order |
