Remove/install

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Detach left intake air duct from air filter housing and from fan shroud

Remove engine trim panel

Suction off oil from expansion reservoir of power steering



Remove radiator grille

Loosen radiator at radiator crossmember

 To do this, remove radiator bracket.

Detach right and left air ducting (6) from radiator crossmember and place to one side

 To do so, detach the expansion rivet (7).

 Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Remove engine compartment paneling

Remove soundproofing

Detach supply line and return line (3, 4) from power steering radiator (1)

 Seal connections with stop plugs. Check clamps and lines for condition and replace if necessary.



Unclip power steering radiator (1) from brackets (2) on radiator and remove

 When removing, the right side must be lowered so that the radiator can then be lifted out to the left.

Install in the reverse order

Fill power steering pump and bleed

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.

Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Carry out engine test run and check steering for function and leaks

 In the event of fluid loss, determine and eliminate the cause, otherwise there will be malfunctions, steering damage and environmental pollution.
