Remove/install steering wheel

Remove/install

Move front wheels to straight-ahead position and set steering wheel (1) to horizontal

Remove airbag unit from steering wheel (1)

Disconnect electrical connector (2)

Remove screw/bolt (3), when doing so hold steering wheel (1) steady

 Installation: Replace bolt (3).



Remove steering wheel (1), route electrical wiring harness (4) through the opening in the steering wheel (1) and fasten the clock spring contact in place using suitable adhesive tape

 Installation: In order to avoid damaging the clock spring contact when the steering is on full lock, after twisting the clock spring contact must be brought into the center position.

 Installation: Align the cutout of the serrations in the steering wheel (1) with the marking on the steering shaft (arrows).
