Remove/install

Turn steering wheel (1) to straight-ahead position

Switch off ignition

Remove cover (3) from steering wheel (1)

Mark position of steering wheel (1) relative to the steering column

If the identification on the steering wheel (1) and steering shaft made at the factory is not present.

Unscrew nut (2) and manually detach steering wheel (1)

 Installation: Observe markings on steering wheel (1) and steering column.
If the steering wheel (1) is offset by more than one tooth, perfect turn signal cancellation is no longer guaranteed.

Install in the reverse order

Conduct a road test

 During the test drive, check the turn signal cancellation function and the position of the steering wheel (1).

If the steering wheel (1) is at an incline



Move steering wheel by one tooth at most or if deviation is greater, check the center steering position on the steering gear.
