Danger! | Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running | Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
| Check pressure regulator cutoff pressure
| Depressurize air brake system | Pull vent valve on compressed-air reservoir.
| Detach the compressed air line of circuit 1 connection of the 4-circuit protection valve (5) and connect the pressure gauge (6)
| Detach compressed air line on circuit 2 connection
| Charge air brake system | Start engine and run at idling speed.
| Read off maximum pressure on the pressure gauge (6) | If the protection pressure deviates from the specified value:
Adjust pressure by turning the circuit 1 adjustment screw (1).
| Depressurize air brake system | Switch off engine and remove vent valve on the compressed air reservoir.
| Disconnect pressure gauge (6) from circuit 1 connection
| Connect pressure gauge (6) onto circuit 1 connection of 4-circuit protection valve (5)
| Charge air brake system | Start engine and run at idling speed.
| Read off maximum pressure on the pressure gauge (6) | If the protection pressure deviates from the specified value:
Adjust pressure by turning the circuit 2 adjustment screw (2).
| Depressurize air brake system | Switch off engine and remove vent valve on the compressed air reservoir.
| Disconnect pressure gauge (6) and fit compressed air lines to circuit 1 and 2 connections | Install new sealing rings.
| Detach the compressed air line of circuit 3 connection of the 4-circuit protection valve (5) and connect the pressure gauge (6)
| Detach compressed air line on circuit 4 connection
| Charge air brake system | Start engine and run at idling speed.
| Read off maximum pressure on the pressure gauge (6) | If the protection pressure deviates from the specified value:
Adjust pressure by turning the circuit 3 adjustment screw (3).
