Measuring, adjusting

Drive vehicle onto test site and secure by applying parking brake

 The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.

Carry out conditions and tests for chassis alignment

Switch off the easy entry/exit for the driver seat and steering wheel

Vehicles with code 275, Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)

 Otherwise the driver seat and steering wheel move into a different position if the driver door is opened or closed for example. The driver seat may be damaged when the brake pedal jack is installed.

 The system is switched off via the buttons on the steering wheel in the "Comfort" menu of the multifunction display.

Using the adapter, install the brake pedal retaining tool between the pedal and the driver seat

 Protect the brake pedal and driver seat against damage otherwise the brake pedal or driver seat may be damaged.



Open window on driver door and close driver door

 Preparations for checking steering lock. The vehicle must not be loaded again.

Fit on measuring heads

Unlock turnplates and sliding platforms

Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclination meter and adjust, if necessary

 Depending on the measurement result the vehicle level must be adjusted at the front and rear axle.
