Detach propeller shaft from drive flange of rear axle

 Install new self-locking nuts.

 Slide propeller shaft together in order to get sufficient clearance at the rear axle drive flange. With the aid of a wire, fasten propeller shaft to the underbody so that the sliding piece does not slip out of its splines.

 Installation: Lubricate propeller shaft if necessary.



Remove both rear axle shafts (2)

Secure differential assembly (3) against falling

Remove differential assembly (3)

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and coat with sealant. First screw in four opposite bolts at the marked points (arrows) 2 to 3 revolutions.



Attach differential assembly (3) to an assembly stand
