1 Position the dial indicator (3) on the measuring piece (2) with 8 mm pre-load.
With ring gear Ø 200 mm use lower side, with ring gear Ø 215 mm use higher side.

2 Remove measuring piece and insert drive pinion with bearing and magnetic disk (5).
3 Measure and note down difference between dimension A and dimension B
(dimension B = length of drive pinion).
Add 0.03 mm to the reading as the drive pinion is drawn 0.03 mm deeper into the rear axle housing during installation.
During the measuring process pull the drive pinion downwards and rotate simultaneously.
