Remove

1

Remove compressed-air line (8) from countershaft brake (2).

Remove bolts (1).

Remove countershaft brake (2).

4

Remove pressure pin (3).

5

Remove spring (4).

6

Remove shims (5).

7

Remove O-rings (6, 7).



Clean

8

Clean and recut threads of screws (1) in transmission housing.



Install

9

Determine shims (5) for countershaft.

Align brake disks with each other.

Push countershaft brake (2) onto countershaft up to contact surface on transmission housing by turning slightly.


Work without using excessive force.
Otherwise, the brake disks will be damaged.

Carefully remove countershaft brake (2).

 Make sure that the brake disks do not turn.

Insert spring (4).

Insert pressure pin (3).

Install new O-rings (6, 7).

Install determined shims (5) in countershaft brake (2).

17

Slide countershaft brake (2) onto countershaft as far as the stop.

 When doing so, press countershaft brake (2) against spring force of spring (4).

Screw in screws/bolts (1) .

Attach compressed-air line (8) to countershaft brake (2).
