Remove compressed-air line (3) from solenoid valve

Unscrew nuts (2) around circumference of the auxiliary transmission with working gear group (1)

Remove auxiliary transmission with working gear group (1)

 Shims are fitted between the auxiliary transmission with working gear group (1) and the transfer case.



Clean

Clean all sealing surfaces on transfer case and on auxiliary transmission with working gear group (1)



Check

8

Check all parts for wear and damage

If a problem arises



Replace worn or damaged parts.



Install

Determine axial play at the drive gear tapered roller bearing of the planetary gear system

Tighten nuts (2) around circumference of the auxiliary transmission with working gear group (1) uniformly

 Rear unit of auxiliary transmission to transfer case

Detach transmission from assembly stand

Only if the transmission has been removed.

Install transmission
