Remove/install

 Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of lifting platform and position four support plates at lifting platform support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

General information

Engine mounts must be replaced in pairs.

Open engine hood and raise to vertical position

Remove air filter housing

Mount engine lifting device and raise engine until front engine mounts (1, 2) are not under load

Detach right engine mount (1) from right engine support (3) by unscrewing bolt (5)



Raise vehicle

Detach lower engine compartment paneling

Remove left catalytic converter (13)

Detach left engine mount (2) from left engine support (4) by unscrewing bolt (6)



Take out shields (7, 8) in a downward direction

 Installation: The anti-twist locks (9, 10) for engine mounts (3, 4) must fit in the recess clearances of shields.

Detach engine mounts (1, 2) from front axle carrier (14) by unscrewing bolts (15)



Raise engine further with engine lifting device until engine mounts (1, 2) can be removed in a downward direction

 Pay attention when lifting out engine that no cables and lines are damaged and that engine does not lean against the firewall.

Detach oil line (16) for automatic transmission from oil pan bottom section by unscrewing bolt (17)



Take out engine mount (1, 2)

 Installation: The anti-twist locks (11, 12) for engine mounts must fit in the recess clearances of engine supports (3, 4).

 Observe environmental protection regulations for disposal of engine mounts,

Dispose of engine mounts in mixed scrap.
