Remove/Install

Remove oil pressure switch

Screw connection fitting (2) with sealing ring (3) into the crankcase



Connect tester(1)

Inspect

Inspect engine oil level, adjust to correct level if necessary

Connect remote thermometer (7)

 Insert temperature sensor through the oil dipstick guide tube into the engine oil.

Risk of accident as vehicle may start off by itself with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Warm up engine to operating temperature

 Coolant temperature approx. 90° C

Measure engine oil pressure

Measure engine oil pressure during specified engine speeds. The tabular values are the reference values.
At operating temperature of engine oil, the oil pressure in idle must decrease to
0.3 bar. When throttle is operated, the oil pressure must rise without any delay.
