1	Remove bottom section of dashboard	Vehicles up to 28.2.01	AR68.10-P-1507GC

2	Remove battery		AR54.10-P-0005GC
	Notes on battery		AH54.10-P-0001-01A
3	Remove bolts (2) and pull out the fuse block (11) upwards
4	Detach circuit 50 electrical line from connector (9m)	 Insulate circuit 50 electrical line and place to one side.
5	Remove front right engine compartment paneling and center underfloor paneling		AR61.20-P-1105GC
6	Disconnect circuit 50 electrical line at starter	See "Remove starter".	AR15.30-P-7100GF
		 Insulate circuit 50 electrical line and place to one side.
7	Route white/violet electrical line (1f) from fuse and relay box to starter	 Attach white/violet electrical line (1f) with a cable tie to the installed engine wiring harness.
8	Unclip white/violet electrical line (1f) in the connector (9m)
9	Mount white/violet electrical line (1f) on the starter		*BA15.30-P-1002-01B
10	Insert relay for the wiring harness (1) into the wiring harness (1)
11	Unclip relay for the wiring harness (1) into the slot on the relay holder (3)
12	Connect red/blue electrical line (1d) of the wiring harness (1) with the red/blue electrical line (1d) of the vehicle	 The red/blue electrical line (1d) for the vehicle is located in the fuse and relay box in socket for fuse location 2.
		 Attach lines using soldering end sleeve.
13	Unclip pink/violet electrical line (1c) from wiring harness (1) on the fuse block (11) in socket for fuse location 8	 Insert a 30 A fuse in the socket for fuse location 8.
		 Cross out "Diesel" in the sheet "Fuse assignment" and enter "Gasoline".
14	Mount brown electrical line (1a) for the wiring harness (1) on the main ground (W1)
15	Unclip white/violet electrical line for the ECM [MSM] control unit from the connector (9F)
16	Connect white/violet electrical line of ECM [MSM] control unit with the red/brown electrical line (1b) of the wiring harness (1)
17	Unclip white/violet electrical line (1e) in the connector (9F)
18	Disconnect connector on ECM [MSM] control unit	See "Remove engine control monolith injection (MSM) control unit"

19	Remove cover for the ECM [MSM] control unit plug connection
20	Remove PIN 72 from the plug connection and insert PIN 57 into the plug connection	 Insert blind plugs from PIN 57 into PIN 72.
21	Program ECM [MSM] control unit using STAR DIAGNOSIS	 The following steps should be run through in STAR DIAGNOSIS: Menu items "MSM engine control monolith" "Complete list of guided tests" "Select reequpping of component M1 (starter) with an integral starter relay on the component M1 (starter) with an external component K6 (starter relay)". Then follow the menu guidance and process.
