Remove/install

Disconnect ground line on battery.

 See information from body manufacturer.

Remove heat shield (1) of turbobrake (2).

 Bolt, heat shield to Turbobrake

Remove air intake hose (4) from turbobrake (2) and air intake line (3).

 See information from body manufacturer.

 Installation: Check air intake hose (4) and clamps for wear and damage.

If wear or damage is determined



Replace air intake hose (4) and/or clamps.

Remove oil return feed line (5) from turbobrake (2).

 Installation: Replace seal (7).

 Bolt, oil return line to turbobrake

Detach oil return feed line (5) at fitting (6) and remove.

 Counterhold fitting (6).
Collect escaping engine oil with a suitable container.

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces at oil return feed line (5) and turbobrake (2).

 Nut, oil return line to crankcase fitting

Remove fitting (6).

Only if fitting (6) is leaky.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Install in the reverse order

Perform engine test run.

Check area of oil return feed line (5) for leaks.

 Visual inspection.

Check and correct engine oil level.

 Check engine oil level after waiting at least 5 min. after switching off the engine.
