Remove

Remove compressor (1).

Clamp blocking device (4) in the vise.

Install shim plate (5) in the blocking device (4).

Only for a drive gear (2) with 25 teeth.

Attach compressor (1) to the blocking device (4).

Loosen nut (3).

 Note left-hand thread of nut (3).

 The nut (3) which initially remains on the shaft prevents the drive gear (2) from falling down.

Loosen drive gear (2).

If the drive gear (2) is firmly seated,



Detach drive gear (2) with a commercially available three-arm puller (300 mm span).

Unscrew nut (3).

Remove drive gear (2) from the compressor (1).

Check counter gear of the drive gear (2) for damage.

If the drive gear (2) is replaced due to damage.

If damage to the counter gear is identifiable,



Replace counter gear for the gearwheel drive.

Install

Attach drive gear (2) to the compressor (1).

Screw on nut (3).

 Note left-hand thread of nut (3).

Remove compressor (1) from the blocking device (4).

Install compressor (1).
