2 | Remove soundproofing on the right side of the engine | ||
3 | Remove coolant expansion tank on radiator on and place aside | Do not disconnect coolant lines. | |
4 | Remove the charge air hose (6) | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under load | Only use approved tensioning devices; shield off hazard area if necessary. | |
5 | Swivel tensioning pulley of poly-V-belt tensioning device fan (1) to the top and hold. | ||
6 | Remove poly-V-belt of fan (4) from the coolant pump belt pulley (2) | ||

7 | Swivel back poly-V-belt tensioning device of fan (1) | ||
8 | Remove soundproofing below the radiator. | ||
9 | Detach fan with viscous fan clutch (5) at the belt pulley fan drive (3) | Block the belt pulley fan drive (3) with the corresponding tool. | |
10 | Remove poly-V-belt of fan (4) from the belt pulley fan drive (3) | Do not damage the poly-V-belt of the fan (4) when removing. | |

11 | Check belt pulleys and tensioning pulley for damage and smooth operation, replace if necessary | ||
12 | Inspect condition of poly-V-belt of fan (4), replace if necessary | ||

| Installing | ||
13 | Place poly-V-belt fan (4) onto the belt pulley fan drive (3) | ||
14 | Install fan with viscous fan clutch (5) at the belt pulley fan drive (3) | Block the belt pulley fan drive (3) with the corresponding tool. | |

15 | Install soundproofing below the radiator. | ||

16 | Swivel tensioning pulley of poly-V-belt tensioning device fan (1) to the top and hold. | ||
17 | Place poly-V-belt fan (4) onto the coolant pump belt pulley (2) and once again swivel back the tensioning device | Ensure correct seating of poly-V-belt of fan (4). | |
18 | Install charge air hose (6) | | |
19 | Attach coolant expansion tank on the radiator | ||
20 | Attach soundproofing to right side of the engine | ||
