Remove poly-V belt

Install retaining lock for crankshaft/ring gear

Unscrew central bolt (2) together with washer (3)

Pull off belt pulley / vibration damper (1)

On firmly attached hub of belt pulley / vibration damper (1), detach carefully using a suitable puller.

Installation: Align woodruff key (4), if necessary fix with grease.

Turn to ensure that the slot is aligned with the parallel key in the crankshaft.

Inspect hub at belt pulley / vibration damper (1) for wear grooves

If groove caused by wear can be felt in radial seal

Replace belt pulley with vibration damper.

Install in the reverse order

Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Inspect for oil leaks

Run engine until warm, switch off and inspect for leaks.
