Check operation of door

Unlock door (2) at exterior emergency unlocking handle (1) and open and close door by hand

Open and close door (2) by pressing passenger door pushbutton switch (3)

The indicator lamp in the passenger door pushbutton switch (3) must light up and go out again.

Open and close door (2) using remote control

Check emergency unlocking

Remove lead seal from interior emergency unlocking handle (4)

Unlock door (2) at interior emergency unlocking handle (4)

Unlock lift/lock mechanism by turning door knob (5)

Only with outward swinging door, 1-wing, door width 850 mm.

Open and close door (2) by hand

Push back interior emergency unlocking handle (4)

Open and close door (2) by pressing passenger door pushbutton switch (3)

Attach new lead seal to interior emergency unlocking handle (4)

Check door reversing system

Open door (2) by pressing passenger door pushbutton switch (3), close again and hold test piece at middle of door between door (2) and door frame while door is closing

The door (2) must open again, if necessary:

with outward swinging door, 1-wing, with pressure wave door reversal

Adjust swiveling door reversing system
- subject to separate repair order.

Install new door control unit
- subject to separate repair order.

Test piece for door reversing system

Open door (2) by pressing passenger door pushbutton switch (3), close again and hold test piece approx. 150 mm above door bottom edge between door (2) and door frame while door is closing

The door (2) must open again, if necessary:

with outward swinging door, 1-wing, with pressure wave door reversal

Adjust swiveling door reversing system
- subject to separate repair order.

Install new door control unit
- subject to separate repair order.

Close door (2) by pressing passenger door pushbutton switch (3)

The indicator lamp in the passenger door pushbutton switch (3) must go out.

Check automatic locking

Switch on automatic locking while vehicle is in motion

Press passenger door pushbutton switch (3) during road test

The door (2) should not open when the vehicle is moving at a speed of 3 km/h and higher.
