Remove

 Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Allow engine to warm up until coolant and engine oil have reached operating temperature

Open engine hood

Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Unscrew the oil filter (3)

 Collect engine oil in a suitable container.

Remove drain screw (2) and drain engine oil

 In order to drain all of the engine oil, the vehicle must be horizontal and the drain bore must be left open for at least 5 min. Any quantity of oil remaining in the engine will result in an excess amount of oil being recorded after filling with the specified oil change quantity, which in turn may result in damage to the engine and the catalytic converter.

 Collect engine oil in a suitable container.



Install

Screw in drain plug (2).

 Replace sealing ring.



Install oil filter (3)

 Wet sealing ring of oil filter (3) with engine oil.



Pour in engine oil

 Use only approved engine oils.



Conduct engine test run and check engine for leaks

 Do not increase engine rpm until 10 seconds after starting the engine. Engine damage may occur otherwise.

Turn off engine

Check engine oil level with the oil dipstick approx. 5 minutes after switching off the engine which is at operating temperature, correct if necessary

 Insert oil dipstick up to the end stop in the guide tube and maintain length of stay of a least 3 s.

Close engine hood

Reset service indicator
