General

The built-in unit is the air heater D 3 LC compakt-12V made by Eberspächer.

Retrofitting is only planned for diesel-powered vehicles.

The heater is installed in the passenger compartment on the left under the first passenger seat.

The fuel supply is from the fuel return line via a separate fuel metering pump.

Note: If fuel level is < 1/4, no more fuel can be delivered from the tank, as the return line does not extend to bottom of tank; the heater switches off - fault cut-out.

Refuel vehicle and switch heater off and then back on.

The stationary heater approved by us has been tested and certified according to the registration regulations of the Federal Republic of Germany. For all other countries the relevant valid regulations apply.

Note

Due to a general component approval (ABG), certification by a technical inspection agency for motor vehicle traffic and entry into vehicle documents is not required for the stationary heater in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Prerequisite is that Mercedes-Benz genuine supplied equipment is used.

The ABG must be handed to the customer, it must be carried with the registration papers.
