Switch off "engine preheating" flip switch and vehicle blower if necessary.

Heater unit: ON

Switch off heater unit after a stand-by cycle (full load up to approx. 80 °C; partial load up to approx. 90 °C; stand-by to approx. 75 °C and partial load).

Test actual value 02 after switching on, at the start of stand-by and after switching off heater unit if necessary.

Actual value 02 is "bright" immediately after heater unit switched on:

Actual value 02 is only briefly "bright" at start of stand-by or during run-on, incomplete combustion:

Check CO2 value at 24V (9.5-12 vol.-%).

Exhaust value cannot be adjusted.

Inspect intake pipe (kinked, closed).

Inspect exhaust pipe (sooted, closed).

Measure delivery quantity of fuel metering pump and replace if tolerance of fuel metering pump (M16) deviates.

Actuate combustion air blower on trial (replace if motor bearing makes loud noise).

Actual value 02 remains "bright" during stand-by or run-on:

Inspect plug connections under electrical compartment and in air recirculation box (on vehicle blower) (transition resistance possibly too high due to corrosion, voltage drop outside control unit).

Replace control unit (Z14) on trial, if no fault can be determined.

Replace flame monitor complete with connection cable and plug X8 on trial.
