Remove brake pads

Separate sensor line of brake wear sensor

 At the sensor line connector (3) in the routing of the line or at the sensor line plug (4) on the brake caliper, depending on accessibility.

 Detach and connect the plug (4) axially only, and loosen and tighten the threaded connection carefully, as the brake caliper must be replaced in case of damage to the plug-in connection or the threaded connection.

Remove brake cylinder

Unscrew bolt (1) and fitted bolt (2) and remove brake carrier with brake caliper (5)

 Loosen fitted bolt (2) last.

 Installation: Use new bolts (1).

First screw in the fitted bolt (2) on the exit side of the brake disk finger-tight.



Check brake caliper for condensed water and corrosion

 Condensed water in housing of brake caliper or traces of corrosion on sealing surface, housing opening, and brake lever indicate a defective combination cylinder or diaphragm cylinder. In this case, a new combination cylinder or diaphragm cylinder and a new brake caliper must be installed.

Clean contact surface on axle
