 	Removing, installing
1	Remove rack-and-pinion steering (1)		AR46.20-L-0600VA
2	Remove rubber boot	 Only on the side on which the inner tie rod (3) is to be removed.	AR46.40-L-9998VA
3	Unscrew inner tie rod (3) with axial joint (4) from steering rack (2)	  Counter the steering rack (arrows) otherwise the rack-and-pinion steering (1) may be damaged.  The bolted connection must be free of oil and grease.
		 Open-end wrench	*220589000100

	Checking
4	Check steering rack (2) for corrosion	 If the steering rack is already corroded or the steering is leaking, the rack-and-pinion steering (1) must be replaced complete: 
		Removing and installing rack-and-pinion steering	AR46.20-L-0600VA
5	Install in the reverse order	Installation: Replace sealing ring (5).
