11 | Activation rod counter pin | B | Brake pedal travel measured on a 360 mm radius from the joint shaft center |
| Remove | ||
1 | Remove brake pedal | ||
| Disassemble | ||
2 | Secure the assembly in an appropriate ground for removing and installing the set
3 | Remove pedal return spring (7)
4 | Release the pedal drive shaft valve. For so, remove the cotter pin (11), the washer (12) and pull the joint shaft (14) | At this point the drive shaft of the pedal valve (17) with the fork (15) and the adjusting nut (16) is released from the whole of the pedal valve (18).
5 | Remove the 4 flange screws (4) and separate them from the support (1), the assembly formed by the support (3) and the pedal valve (18)
6 | Remove the joint shaft (9), releasing the locking cotter pin (13)
7 | Remove the brake pedal (5)
8 | Remove, from the pedal, the foot support fixture (6)
9 | Remove the pedal stopper (8)
| Clean | ||
10 | Clean all the components | The pedal valve should not be washed with any liquid. Dry clean it.
| Check | ||
11 | Check all the components for wear or deformations, especially the pedal joint shaft (9) and the drive shaft (14) | Replace whatever necessary.
Replace the following components in the mounting: The cotter pin (11), washers (10, 12), the support trim of the foot on the pedal (6), the limiter stop (8) of the pedal and the return spring (7).
| Assemble | ||
12 | Place the pedal (5) on the support (1), installing the greased joint shaft (9), the flat washer (10) and the new cotter pin (13) | Install a new foot support (6) on the pedal (5).
The inside of the pedal joint and the axle (9) should be well lubricated during assembly and the return spring hooks contacts should be well lubricated (7).
13 | Install the support (3) on the support (1) and fix it with screws (4) | Tighten the screws alternately and in steps.
.Bolts attaching the pedal valve support to the brake pedal support.
14 | To install the pedal valve (18), engage the valve studs in the support (3) and tighten the 4 nuts (20) that fix it to the support (3) | .Nuts fastening the pedal valve to the support.
15 | Connect the pneumatic pipes to the pedal valve | Be careful with the poliamide piping and its connections.
16 | Prepare the drive shaft for mounting | It is formed by the rod (17), the flange nut (16) and the fork (15). In the assembly, lightly lubricate the semi-spherical tip contact and the joint shaft fit (14).
If necessary, after mounting the assembly, adjust the clearance.

17 | Lubricate the joint shaft of the rod (14) and install it with the fork (15) at the upper end of the pedal, then install the new washer (12), and the new cotter pin (11)
18 | Installing the new stopper (8)
19 | Adjust the pedal drive shaft clearance | Tighten the nut (16) and check the clearance.
Hold the fork (15) with a wrench, loosen the nut (16) on the threads of the rod (17) and turn it by hand until you feel the back. Then, gently return the rod, move it laterally until you notice a minimum clearance and fix it with the nut(16).
