When installing the Grundig on-board unit on vehicles that come factory-equipped with the preinstallation for distance-related toll calculation (code EX8), it is essential that an attenuator be installed between the GPS antenna output and the GPS antenna jack on the Grundig OBU.
The attenuator can be ordered from the Toll Collect service partners via the Toll Collect Webshop under the designation Attenuator, 12.5 dB.
Without this attenuator, GPS signals may be poorly received or distorted by the Grundig unit. Proper operation can then no longer be guaranteed.
