At the onset of rain or slight moistening of the windshield surface an additional use of the windshield washer system is required for precleaning and to build up a continuous water film on the windshield surface.
Negative influencing quantities of the windshield washer system on the result of wiping
a) Use of unsuitable, non-approved washer fluid additives or those which are not adapted to the time of year.

Use of approved Mercedes-Benz washer fluid additives.
Summer and winter concentrate.

b) Contamination of any type during the filling operation.
System contamination with other substances
Lime deposits can occur in all components of the washer fluid system if different washing fluid additives which are not matched to each other are mixed together.
Repair and supporting information:
Avoidance of contamination due to exclusive use of water and washer fluid additives.
Filling only with clean vessels intended for this.

Contamination caused by the customer cannot be comprehended. If a cleaned windshield surface be contaminated by a lubricating film after operating the windshield washer system, the washer fluid system must be cleaned using suitable cleaning agents.
c) Reduced water supply to the windshield washer fluid nozzles due to calcification or contamination of the system.
d) Incorrect windscreen washer nozzle adjustment prevents a satisfactory cleaning effect and adequate wetting of the windshield surface.

Cleaning or replacement of components affected.

No cost acceptance through warranty or goodwill is possible for the above negative variables. The person causing the damage bears the costs.

The testing and repair work already published in
