We would like to inform you that, when retrofitting tinting on the windshields using a film on the inside, the use of fluids such as water or water-soap solutions may result in water entry into the vehicle interior.
Improper procedure may result in the fluid used dripping onto electronic component parts and connector couplings in the vehicle interior, causing consequential damage.
To avoid this, suitable procedures must be made to collect the fluid that runs down. Such work may not be performed on the vehicle without suitable precautions.
In the event of traces of fluid on defective electronic component parts and connector couplings, the vehicle must be checked to see whether tinting was retrofitted to the windshields using a film.
A leak test must then be performed. If the result is OK, the retrofitted attachment of the film is considered to be the cause.
In this case, the damage must not be invoiced through warranty and goodwill. This is not a defect for which the manufacturer is responsible.
No liability is accepted for consequential damage that can be traced back to improper procedure when retrofitting windshield tinting using a film.
